Running Sherowkey

Bah...my scanner ate all of the colorful shading I used on its fur. Ah well.

Anyway, this is a more up-to-date detailed drawing of my white dragonic-mammal thing named Sherowkey. I'm very pleased with how this turned out, especially since I was shading white, and hadn't done that for a while with pencils. It's got quite the generic pose and no background, but...I like it.

Sherowkey is basically a bunch of my favorite animals all thrown together into one creature (save for the tail. That's just there because it's fun to draw, though it's vaguely based off of a highly stylized horses tail). The paws are all based on wolves, the body is slightly based on bears, the mane comes from my own stylized wolf 'manes', the cheek ruff is from bongos (as is the nose), and the ears are a combination of a rabbits and an aardvarks.

I give tribute to a book, "Animal Anatomy for the Artist" by Eliot Goldfinger. The bear anatomy section was highly helpful when setting up the structure for the forelegs and ribcage. :3
